Randy Smithhart

Randy has been a stylist since 1983 and a salon owner since 1987. He began educating others while still in cosmetology school and began showing his work on stage in his first year as a professional stylist. His energy and passion for the industry is evident in any class or show that he is involved in. Randy's understanding of face shapes, and the use of cut and color to enhance and/or diminish features has been his greatest strength since the beginning of his career.

Randy's ability to communicate with the audience in a non complicated, straightforward way has made him a favorite among attendees, and his attitude of "sharing" instead of teaching is appreciated also.

So, after so many years, what's next? Randy is working on many projects with his incredible salon team, stage presentation and educational work that will keep him growing through the next few months. So stay tuned, this may be the best year yet, and that won't be much of a surprise to anyone who has ever met Randy.

Angie Smithhart





   Angie Smithhart has been in the industry for over 20 years and has accumulated knowledge and techniques that place her among the best colorists in the business. Her understanding of skintones and the effect of color choice and placement on your personal color pattern set her apart from most.

  As a coach with Scruples Self Tour of Haircolor team Angie travels the country sharing this knowledge with other salon professionals. She and her husband (Randy), while working a full schedule in the salon, travel and share their knowledge with other salon professionals around the country. This same knowledge is given every day to our own amazing Salon Mosaic team, and they love having her selfless leadership and endless energy for learning and sharing.

Misty Bailey    



  Misty graduated from Virginia Beach VoTech for Cosmetology in 2004. She assisted, interned, and developed her skills at a local salon for 7 years before finding her home at Salon Mosaic. Coming here Misty was looking for more education, to further develop her career, the motivation and "push" to help her excel, and a team she could be proud to be a part of.

 Though she enjoys all aspects of the industry, Misty has a special interest in long hair dressing, cutting, and make-up. She is also looking forward to expanding her knowledge in marketing for the industry, organizing photo shoots and shows, and developing herself into an educator and stage performer. Her education has been continuous throughout her career, but the most influential classes she has attended are Bumble and Bumble University Design Workshop and  Design Studio, Scruples Self Tour (consultations), Interior Cutting (with Randy Smithhart), and the continuing of Salon Photo Shoots which allow her to 'step outside the box' with her creativity.

  As we all do at Salon mosaic, Misty strives to make each client feel special. She takes care of their hair needs, shares her hair knowledge and how-tos, provides a happy, optimistic  atmosphere, and you know what they say.... "Hairstylists make the best Therapists".



Erin Wilson

Erin Marie Butler

Born and raised in L.A., Erin will always be a California girl at heart.

 Since she became a stylist in 2002, Erin has worked hard to perfect her craft and always strives to make each client feel better about themselves.

 Erin uses cut and color placement to enhance the natural beauty of each individual.

Erin has attended an array of educational classes and enjoys hairshows which help her keep up with the latest trends and styles.

Using her strengths in color and razor cutting techniques she is able to create looks from sophisticated to edgy and everything in between.

 Erin is a perfect fit for Salon Mosaic and brings considerable talent to the team.

When not in the salon, Erin can be found spending time with her husband and friends, enjoying her pets, hitting the gym and shopping. Come in and see Erin Marie and enjoy a friendly conversation and a relaxing experience.

Sean Smithhart

  One of the truly gifted young stylists on the Salon Mosaic team. Sean has made a big impact on the teams presentation and show work. At such a young age, it's hard to believe he has so much industry experience already under his belt.

   Sean started at age 15, working for the salon as a shampoo technician. He had intended on making it a summer job, but found out quickly that he had the talent and passion to become a gifted colorist. To that end, Sean began learning, and practicing his craft.

   Today Sean works both the classroom and stage, sharing his knowledge and visions with other industry professional. He also mentors his younger brother, Tyler Smithhart, who is now an apprentice for the Salon Mosaic team.



Lee Rech

Lee started out as a just another happy client. One day after visiting her stylist, she asked me if I was hiring. That was how it started, she was ready for a "happy' job, someplace that would make her WANT to come to work. A job she could enjoy... 

The joy is all ours! 

  As our salon coordinator, Lee wears many hats. From inventory management, to salon payroll, to personnel issues, Lee touches every aspect of our business. Salon Mosaic is better BECAUSE she came onboard... and we are fortunate to have her. So say hi to Lee when you come in... she loves to see you!



Tyler Smithhart

One of the reasons it runs so smoothly! Tyler, as an apprentice, is assigned the task of keeping us all on track. When not taking classes Tyler is responsible for making sure the support staff keeps US up to speed and the salon clean. His energy is unmatched, his dedication is inspiring and his desire to do well in his chosen career... brings smiles to our faces.
